2. Bending properties. The bending performance of aluminum core cables is very poor, and it is easy to break when bending. The bending radius of aluminum alloy power cables is 7 times the outer diameter of the cable, which is far better than the “minimum bending radius during cable installation” in GB/T 12706-2008. The specified 10 times -20 times the outer diameter of the cable.
3. Flexibility. As long as the pure aluminum cable is twisted at a certain angle a few times, the conductor will crack or break, which is easy to cause accidents, while the aluminum alloy power cable can withstand dozens of bends, eliminating the accident in the installation and use of the pure aluminum cable in the past. hidden dangers, greatly improving the safety and reliability performance.
Conductivity
Aluminum alloy conductors are emerging conductor materials formed by alloying with rare earth, magnesium, copper, iron and other elements added to pure aluminum. It is well known that after adding various other alloying elements to aluminum, the electrical conductivity will decrease, and through process control, the electrical conductivity can be restored to a level close to that of pure aluminum, so that it has a similar current-carrying capacity to that of pure aluminum.
Creep resistance
Pure aluminum has poor creep resistance. Thermal expansion and cold contraction caused by power-on and power-off will cause a large amount of creep at the connection, and relaxation will occur after a long time, which will increase the contact resistance and cause overheating, causing safety accidents. . The creep resistance of AA8000 series aluminum alloy is 300% of that of pure aluminum conductor, which greatly reduces the possibility of cable joint slack and improves the connection condition of conductors.
